Todd’s and John’s creative collaboration began at a spa industry conference on 9-11-2001 and developed since with John as Glen Ivy’s visionary and Todd as Glen Ivy’s architect. Voelker Gray Design was a natural outgrowth. The sparkling synthesis of their wisdom and experience positions them to deliver inspired solutions in spa and hospitality design.

John C Gray, "Spa Professor"

For over 30 years John was President and Chief Executive Officer of Glen Ivy Hot Springs, Inc. near Corona, California. Glen Ivy has a 150 year history as a commercial establishment but had fallen on hard times and was nearly closed as John's tenure began in early 1977 when he founded the Glen Ivy Hot Springs corporation. With his vision and leadership, Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa, "Nature's Day Spa," was gradually renewed and revitalized, and today serves over 190,000 guests annually. The Glen Ivy Spas are known for original features beautifully integrated with their locations. Within the Spa industry and beyond, John is respected as a visionary leader in the innovative design of memorable spa experiences, and Glen Ivy is a well-known success story. In 2007 John began shifting his focus from running Glen Ivy to business development and consulting. He now applies his decades of experience and expertise to creating new spa and hospitality experiences for others.
